FORT WORTH – Oceans Healthcare and SRP Medical have broken ground on Oceans Behavioral Hospital Fort Worth, a 48-bed, 34,000-sf facility in the southwest part of the city.

The facility, located along Bryant Irvin Rd., south of I-20, will be dedicated to providing specialized psychiatric treatment for the adult and geriatric population.

Each of Ocean’s hospitals is expected to employ 120 to 150 employees. The jobs include medical doctors, nurses, technicians and administrative workers.

The facility marks Oceans’ fifth hospital in Texas. "We are looking to expand in Texas and bring another six hospitals to Texas in 2014," said Oceans CEO Jason Reed.

The Fort Worth hospital is expected to be completed in March 2014.
