HOUSTON - Two BriarLake Plaza, a Westchase District office tower located at 2050 W. Sam Houston Pkwy. and Briar Forest Dr., has topped out.
The 12-story, 332,000-sf structure is set for completion in April 2014. The estimated cost of construction only is $55 million, according to state filings.
Samsung Engineering America signed a prelease agreement that occupies 50 percent of the structure and will be used as the company’s North American headquarters.
Together with its neighboring One BriarLake Plaza, the total rentable space in the complex will total 830,000 sf upon completion. Dallas-based Behringer Harvard REIT I Inc. broke ground on the project in late 2012.
