HOUSTON - The Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership has released its latest Business Development Update. Below are some retail highlights from the report.

La Porte — A developer has proposed a new multiphase retail development on the southwest corner of Spencer Hwy. and SH 146. The proposal is under review for the Underwood Shopping Plaza II located at 9709 Spencer Hwy.

League City — Excel Trust purchased League City Towne Center for $39.5 million. The 194,736-sf facility is located at the southeast corner of FM 646 and I-45 (Gulf Freeway). The property is 100 percent leased.

Webster — Nordstrom Rack is coming in spring 2015. The new 31,000-sf store will open in Baybrook Square in the space now occupied by DSW. DSW will relocate to another space in that retail center.
