FORT WORTH – The $75 million, 400,000-sf Shoppes at Renaissance Square has opened in southeast Fort Worth. The shopping center will feature retail, grocery stores, restaurants and other neighborhood services while creating more than 1,000 jobs.

The shopping center broke ground in April 2010, and since has opened retailers including Walmart, its anchor store, Marshalls, GameStop, Subway, T-Mobile, 7-Eleven, McDonalds, Jack in the Box, Shoe Carnival, Ross and Grand LV Nails.

The Shoppes is the first part of development, as 80 acres of land have been zoned for single-family homes, apartments and senior living. The residential part of the property will be called The Villages. The developers also plan to use 20 acres of land for offices.
