DENISON - The City of Denison is on the verge of exploding in an economic sense. The city is upgrading its school systems and has a new high school in the making.

"That's the launching point for everything that is going to happen. When people come to a community one of the first things they look at is the school system and the facilities and probably the second thing is medical care," says Tony Kaai, president of the Denison Developmental Alliance.

The Hilton Inn and Conference Center broke ground as the city hopes to attract more restaurants and retail companies.

Plus there is growth around Lake Texoma with Schuler Developmentā€™s $4 billion Preston Harbour plan.

"The vision is 4,000 new homes, a five-star hotel, some retail, two golf courses, a marina; the vision is incredible," says Kaai.

According to Kaai, Denison is in the best position it has been in in over 30 or 40 years, mainly because of developments that have happened in the last two years.
