LAREDO - The new 18,500-sf Laredo VA Outpatient Clinic has opened its doors at 4602 N. Bartlett Ave to expand crucial medical services to local veterans.

The new clinic, which is double the size of the existing one, will offer services such as primary care, mental health, women’s health, telemedicine and podiatry.

While Laredo does have an existing VA clinic, many services were not available, which forced veterans to seek care hours away in San Antonio.

Land donated to the UT Health Sciences Center San Antonio by the City of Laredo and the Laredo International Airport made the clinic possible.

Laredo is part of the Valley Coastal Bend Health Care System, a VA network with hospitals and clinics in Laredo, Corpus Christi, Harlingen and McAllen.
