KILLEEN - Central Texas College is once again listed as one of the “Best Colleges for Veterans” by the Military Times.

According to the magazine’s annual survey, the college was ranked as the seventh “Best for Vets: Colleges 2014” in the category of online and nontraditional schools. The college ranked fourth in 2013 and 15th in 2012.

The rankings are based on a number of criteria, including academic accreditation, whether the school has a central veterans’ office and staff knowledge on veterans’ issues.

At the time of the survey in spring 2013, CTC reported a military enrollment of 32,830 students worldwide.

This year, the college was cited for its cost. CTC’s credit-per-hour rate is below the established tuition assistance cap of $250. Out-of-state tuition for all programs is lower at CTC than the nationwide cap of $17,500 per school year, according to data from the college.
