SAN ANTONIO – The local housing market continues to see increases in values and sales levels, according to the October analysis by the San Antonio Board of Realtors. A total of 1,839 homes were sold over the 31 days ended October 31, 2013. By comparison, 1,654 sales were recorded last October.

The average price of a home in the greater San Antonio area now stands at $205,680 — up from an average price of $194,354 last October, and an average price of $182,302 in October 2011.

The median price of a home currently stands at $168,800 — up from $158,800 a year ago, and $152,900 as of September 2011.

At the end of October, housing inventory in the Alamo City stood at 4.4 months. Homes are currently spending an average of 69 days on the market.
