BRYAN - Kent Moore Cabinets employs more than 500 people, and managers say they are looking to add to their workforce. The company is hoping veterans will apply for the current job openings.
Finding a job can be stressful for all recent veterans, so it helps when companies are so welcoming, according to David Frierson who was in the Marine Corps for nine years.
"I think part of the reason they're looking for us is the skill set we've acquired over the years. Whether its leadership of other marines or service members or the ability to get the job done," said Frierson.
More than 15 vets currently have jobs with the Bryan company.
"Veterans deserve a job when they get back, and we'd like to make jobs available in our company for them to come to," said Teresa Galliher, a vice president within the company.
