HEWITT – The City of Hewitt broke ground on a new public safety building to be built at 100 Patriot Court. The 22,000-sf complex will replace aging and cramped facilities that currently serve the police and fire departments and combine them under one roof.

The city issued a $3.85 million tax and revenue bond package in March to finance the new building.

K-4 Construction was hired as the construction manager-at-risk to oversee the project. The building is expected to be finished by December 2014.
