WICHITA FALLS – Existing home sales dropped off in October as compared to September but were well ahead of the same month last year, according to a report from the Wichita Falls Association of Realtors. A total of 114 homes were sold in October, compared to 128 in September and 97 in October 2012.

The October sales volume was $14,470,125, a decline of $1,633,261 from $16,103,386 the previous month. The total in October 2012 was $9,695,019.

The average sales price in October was $126,931, an increase of $1,123 over $125,808 in September.

Existing home sales year to date in 2013 total 1,269, compared to 2012 when it was 1,115. The sales volume for the year to date is $154,260,494, compared to $129,850,930 in 2012.
