WACO - A 350-acre tract at Loop 340 and I-35, near Central Texas Marketplace, has been purchased. The investment group will entertain offers to sell it piecemeal instead of as a single unit.
The land already has the necessary zoning to accommodate retail and office development. The land lies right across Loop 340 from a 635-acre site the same sellers sold to the Waco Industrial Foundation in June.
Local realtor Bland Cromwell brokered the deal. With the sale comes a change in philosophy, said Cromwell, who noted the seller for several years had hoped to sell the raw land to a single user.
“The new owners want to do whatever the market dictates,” Cromwell said, and that includes selling it to multiple buyers for commercial, multifamily or office use.
