HURST-EULESS-BEDFORD – Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Hurst-Euless-Bedford (H-E-B) broke ground on a $6 million, 38,000-sf freestanding cancer center, which is expected to open by fall 2014.

Partnering in the facility are Texas Oncology and Cambridge Holdings. The facility, to be named Texas Health H-E-B Cancer Center, will be at the northeast corner of Hospital Pkwy. and Tibbets Dr., south of the main hospital.

The hospital’s current Edwards Cancer Center opened in 1990 within the hospital. All cancer care at the Edwards center will move to the new facility. Thirteen Texas Oncology physicians will work out of the new center.
