VICTORIA - The Swearingen Report for residential homes has been released for the 12 months ending May 2015 by Coldwell Banker The Ron Brown Company.

The average sales price for residential homes was $185,709, up 7.8 percent versus May 2014 when it was $172,350.

The median price of residential homes was $170,000, up 9.0 percent versus May 2014 when it was $156,000.

Total sales of residential homes in Victoria MLS for May 2015 was 887, 4.7 percent (44 homes) less than May 2014.

The average Days on Market for residential homes for May 2015 was 85, 6.6 percent shorter than the same period last year.

Total building permits for Victoria city limits for May 2015 were 153, up 22.4 percent compared to May 2014 when the number of permits was 125.
