McALLEN - The Valley’s first solar energy installation company will move to McAllen and said they can lower energy bills.

Graeme Walker the CEO of Alba Energy found success in Austin, and his growing solar energy company decided to make the Rio Grande Valley a second home.

Next week, Alba Energy will open an office inside the old McAllen library. The third floor has been transformed into a new tech space.

The solar energy company is just one of eight tech and software startups that will call the new space home.

Alba Energy plans to install 15 to 20 solar systems per month in the Valley by the end of the year.
