Penske pounces on Pharr dealerships

PHARR – Penske Automotive Group Inc. has acquired Frank Smith Toyota-Scion, located at 1625 West Expy. 83, and Frank Smith Hyundai, located at 1605 West Expy. 83.

The dealerships are located on an 18-acre site that includes a 28,000-sf, 38-service bay collision repair center and an 8,500-sf delivery/detail center.

The acquisitions add to the company’s existing operations in Austin, Houston and Round Rock, and are expected to generate approximately $200 million in annualized revenue.

Michigan-based Penske Automotive Group Inc. is an international transportation services company, operating retail automotive dealerships, Hertz car rental franchises and commercial vehicle distribution.
