LONGVIEW - LeTourneau University's 14 million, 60,000-sf Anna Lee and Sidney Allen Family Student Center will serve as a new crossroads for the campus. The new center is set to open March 2014 to students.

From a lounge downstairs for social interaction to a prayer room upstairs for quiet reflection, LeTourneau University officials say they believe a new student center will be a home-away-from-home for the majority of the campus’ students.

With exterior work mostly completed, the university plans to spend the coming months installing furniture, electronic equipment, filling offices and a slew of other things to ready the interior of the building for its debut.

The Anna Lee and Sidney Allen Family Student Center features four entrances, which face each other with diagonally crisscrossing paths that resemble an “X.”
