PLANO – From charging stations for electric vehicles to touchscreen ordering stations where employees can order and pay for lunch before heading to the cafeteria, the new Capital One expansion offers plenty of perks for employees.

The final 220 employees have moved into the expanded Capital One Bank campus at 7933 Preston Rd.

The newly constructed expansion includes an eight-story parking garage, and two office buildings totaling 477,000 sf. Building Six totals 270,000 sf while Building Seven is 207,000 sf.

The seven-building campus has 4,500 employees with plans to add both new hires and transfers from other locations. The majority of the new space will be occupied by the bank’s auto loan department.

Capital One also built a new sports field that can accommodate employee football, soccer and baseball games. Capital One’s current campus sits on 75 acres but the bank has bought another 65 acres across the street.
