BROWNFIELD, TERRY COUNTY – Terry County Tractor has broken ground on a new 25,000-sf facility just west of its current location at 1105 Seagraves Hwy.

The new location, expected to be completed in early summer 2014, will include 7,500 sf of showroom and office space, 9,000 sf of parts storage and a 9,000-sf shop.

Terry County Tractor currently has 12 full-time employees, but the larger space could call for additional staff, according to owner Doug Melcher.

The new building will be the farm equipment dealership’s first new home since it moved into the current location in 1956.

“In this instance, the community will benefit even more because the land where they will construct is inside our Tax Increment Financing zone, so the additional investment will boost the money we are able to collect to help renovate and revitalize our downtown area,” said David Partlow, Brownfield Industrial Development Director.
