Finger nails 400-unit Crawford; 390-unit Susanne

HOUSTON – The Finger Cos. recently broke ground on 500 Crawford, a seven-story, 400-unit complex downtown.

It is next to the Houston Astros’ Minute Maid Park and on the site of the former Ben Milam Hotel.

The complex will include a seventh-floor outdoor deck overlooking Minute Maid Park, resort-style swimming pools, a resident fitness center, a clubroom and a parking garage with direct access aligned from parking to apartment levels.

Leasing for 500 Crawford will begin in May 2015.

In November, tenants began moving into six-story 2900 West Dallas next to the Montrose Whole Foods and south of Buffalo Bayou Park. The 431-unit complex construction value was reported as $42 million.

Nearby, work is underway on another Finger Cos. project, The Susanne, at Dunlavy and Alabama streets across from HEB. The project, once the site of a Fiesta Mart, will have 390 units in seven stories.
