DALLAS – The Dallas increase was more than twice the nationwide gain in April, according to the just-released Standard & Poor’s/Case-Shiller Home Price Index.
Dallas had the third highest home price rise in the country, behind Denver, 10.3 percent and San Francisco.
Dallas area home prices are at a record high and about 15 percent ahead of where they were at the peak of the housing market before the recession, according to Case-Shiller.
