HID Global opens new world HQ in Austin

AUSTIN – HID Global has opened its new world headquarters in North Austin. The 250,000-sf facility sits on 22 acres located at 611 Center Ridge Dr. The opening of the new facility will also create 300 new jobs.

HID Global will receive $1.9 million from the Texas Enterprise Fund, designed to create new jobs. The company also has invested about $50 million at the new Austin facility.

HID Global initially intended the facility to be its new North American Operations Center, but the company decided to relocate its headquarters from Irvine, Calif.

The company has already hired 50 employees from the Austin area, and hiring will continue during the next two years.
