AUSTIN – Military officials have opened a $41 million reserves complex near Austin-Bergstrom International Airport to provide more room for troops and training. The 209,000-sf site is located at the Armed Forces Reserve Center.

The new facility is about ten times the size of the previous facility serving the Texas Army National Guard and members of the Army Reserves. The new center, which has space for vehicle maintenance, will also be home to Marine reserves.

The complex has room to train about 1,400 reservists.
