LANCASTER - BMW North America is set to open its new 282,000-sf regional distribution center at 2401 Danieldale Rd. this month.

The parts and service warehouse is in the Prologis 20/35 business park. The building was constructed for an eventual expansion to 370,000 sf and has 65 employees. Cost of the shell construction was reported at $6.7 million. New tenant improvements including a racking pick module system with a lift was reported at $3 million.

Officials with the German automaker will be in Dallas on January 27 for the grand opening of the distribution center.
