HOUSTON – The Heights at Park Row, a 342-unit apartment complex, is going up in Wolff Cos.’ Central Park. Central Park is a 78-acre mixed-use development on the north side of I-10 between North Eldridge Pkwy. and Hwy. 6 in the Energy Corridor.

The units will be ready for lease by October 2014, according to Atlanta-based developer The Worthing Companies.

The new apartment complex will join the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, which acquired 34.5 acres in the park in 2012. Office construction and job growth in the Energy Corridor is creating the need for upscale multifamily housing in the area.

More than one in five jobs created since 2011 has been in energy, according to the Texas Workforce Commission, and the Greater Houston Partnership forecasts the sector will add 5,600 new jobs to the Houston area this year.
