AUSTIN - CyrusOne LLC, based in Dallas, has purchased 22 acres in Southeast Austin to expand its data center. The land is part of the Met Center business park west of the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. The land price was $7.9 million, accoring to SEC filings.

CyrusOne currently operates 54,000 sf of data center space in a facility on Ben White Blvd.

The company owns about 920,000 sf of commercial space in Texas, including 560,000 sf with data center capabilities, and is aggressively purchasing land in the four major market centers — Dallas, Houston, San Antonio and Austin — to expand its capacity.
