Student loan provider plans to hire 140 jobs in Plano

PLANO – A student loan services firm will bring 140 jobs to its first Texas location in Plano. Great Lakes Educational Services Inc. has leased 26,847-sf at 6500 International Pkwy. at International Business Park.

The Madison, Wisconsin-based company, is a guarantor and servicer of student loans that works with the U.S. Department of Education and more than 6,000 schools and 1,100 lenders across the country.

Marc Storch, the company’s chief borrower services officer, said Great Lakes’ site selection team was impressed by DFW’s labor market demographics, quality of office space, accessibility, and climate.
