LITTLE ELM, DENTON COUNTY – A $600 million master-planned community will bring 2,400 new homes northwest of Frisco. The 800-acre Union Park project is scheduled to sell first homes in spring 2015 and is located on US Hwy. 380 in Little Elm.

Construction on nearly 300 home lots will start in March or April 2014, said Fred Balda, president of Hillwood Communities. Home prices at Union Park should start above $200,000 and go to about $350,000.

The first home building sites in Union Park should be ready by the end of this year, which will allow builders to have sales in the spring 2015 market.

The master-planned residential community will have a 30-acre central park featuring ponds, trails, an ampitheater and a community center.
