PLANO - FedEx Office & Print Services is set to develop a 265,000-sf corporate headquarters. The project, with an estimated cost between $40 and $45 million, will bring more than 1,220 corporate and service support staff to the Legacy Business Park.

Plano recruited the FedEx Office & Print Services Inc.'s corporate headquarters from its Dallas offices near the Galleria.

The new facility will be located at the intersection of Legacy Dr. and Headquarters Dr.

“We have found being in two buildings is not optimal,” said FedEx Office COO Kim Dixon. “We wanted to put our employees in one building to foster collaboration to create a stronger culture.”

The city agreed to offer FedEx Office, a subsidiary of Memphis-based FedEx Corp., an economic incentive package that includes a 50 percent tax abatement on real and business personal property for ten years, as well as an employee recognition grant and relocation assistance totaling $1.6 million.

The soon-to-be developed headquarters will sit on the newly announced $2 billion mixed-use project called Legacy West on land formerly owned by J.C. Penney. Dallas-based development firm KDC is developing the corporate campus for FedEx.
