CARTHAGE, PANOLA COUNTY - Panola College has a $35 million bundle for new construction projects currently active on campus.

One project includes the new Phoebe Sue Perlman Student Center and renovated A.J. Johnson Gymnasium. The project will be connect the two buildings and will add 73,500 sf to the campus’ space.

The admissions office, registrar’s office, advisors and testing offices will occupy the student life center. It also will house a cafeteria and concessions area, ballroom, meeting rooms, fitness center, college store, athletics offices, a competition gymnasium, lockers and office space.

The W.C. Smith Health Science Center will become the largest building on campus at over 76,000 sf.

It will be on an empty field between the Gullette Building and Merle Glass Building. Panola’s nationally recognized nursing program will be housed in the facility. New science classrooms will also be included in the new building.
