ENCINAL, WEBB COUNTY – Construction has begun on a 24-inch, 94-mile long pipeline capable of transporting 300 million cubic feet daily. Called the Webb pipeline, the project will cost $125 million.
Dallas-based Southcross Energy Partners LP is developing the pipeline, which is expected to come online in fourth quarter 2014.
The pipeline will run rich gas from Webb County near Encinal to McMullen County near Tilden. At Tilden, the pipeline will connect to Southcross’ existing McMullen pipeline, where the company is building a five-mile extension. The endpoint will be Southcross’ processing and fractionation complex near Corpus Christi.
