DENISON - A new 300,000-sf high school, situated on 130 acres at Hwy. 75 and Hwy. 91, is about 85 percent finished for Denison ISD. Completion of the $62 million high school is expected by May 2014.
The school will have 14 science labs and it will give students and teachers the latest in technology, according to Superintendent Dr. Henry Scott.
The school will officially open its doors when 1,300 students return for the start of the 2014-2015 school year.
Amenities like a professionally lit auditorium, two gymnasiums, a cafeteria and library will be included in the design.
Munson Stadium's $5.5 million in renovations add to the excitement for fall.
