Caterpillar facility sold in Kilgore

KILGORE – Holt Texas has purchased the 70,000-sf Caterpillar facility along Hwy. 42 near I-20. Caterpillar announced that it would end operations at the facility.

“The KEDC board at its meeting this week decided on incentives for this company … up to $375,000 toward improvements they make in the building. We know they will make at least $500,000 in improvements in the building,” said Amanda Nobles, Executive Director of the Kilgore Economic Development Corporation.

Caterpillar “sold it to a company that provides them with service. That is Holt Texas,” Nobles explained.

The company aims to employee at least 36 people, but the number is likely to range up to 50.
