TYLER - The 120-unit Grand Manor apartment complex, located at 2700 N. Grand Ave., is undergoing a $6.5 million facelift. The complex is nearly 100 percent occupied, according to manager Robin LaGrone.
Phase I of the project is nearly finished, and residents will begin moving back in April 2014.
The 60-year-old complex was awarded tax credits for low-income housing and was purchased by Dallas-based Odyssey Residential in 2013. The name will be changed to Victor Park Apartments.
Renovations will include:
• parking lots;
• an HVAC system;
• a 3,000-sf clubhouse;
• a swimming pool;
• a computer center;
• two playgrounds; and
• gates around the entire property.
The complete project is expected take nine to 12 months.
