Brenham building permits over $5M in 2014

BRENHAM, WASHINGTON COUNTY – The City of Brenham issued 28 building permits for $1,386,530 million in February 2014, pushing the 2014 two-month total to 66 permits for $5.1 million.

The largest single permit in February 2014 was the $200,000 renovation of the Bassett Building downtown.

Permits issued in February 2014 include:

•  commercial renovations — seven permits for $707,932;
•  new residential construction — five permits for $534,120;
•  residential renovations — nine permits for $109,328; and
•  residential additions — five permits for $32,750.
