WACO – The Target Greatland store located at Bosque Blvd. and Wooded Acres Dr. will receive a $1.1 million renovation that will include doubling the size of the area devoted to food items and the opening of a Starbucks location inside.

Though the store’s total sales space of 115,000 sf will not expand, each department will feature a larger selection of the clothing, housewares and electronics Target offers.

As part of the renovation, the store’s name will change to Target.

Waco’s Target Greatland store opened in 2003 to anchor the new Lake Air Mall retail center. About 130 people work at the store, but is expected to hit 170 shortly after the renovation.

Work will begin April 6 and is scheduled to conclude by July 4, 2014.
