FORT WORTH – Work on the first phase of a townhome project in Linwood Park has begun. Fort Worth-based Village homes purchased 27 lots totaling about 4.5 acres in an area bordered by W. Fifth St., Whitmore St., Templeton Dr. and Foch St. and plans to build two townhomes on each lot, for a total of 54 units.

The first phase of construction includes five lots. Six of the first ten townhomes have been sold, according to Village Homes President Michael Dike. Dike said he expects the 54 townhomes to be built within three or four years.

The townhomes are priced from $285,000 and are either 1,900 sf or 2,100 sf. Both plans offer detached two-car garages and backyards. They will have 2.5 baths and energy efficiencies.
