PHARR – The City of Pharr will sign today a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Port of Corpus Christi Authority to generate new business by promoting the land and seaport route between the Pharr International Bridge and the Port of Corpus Christi.

The alliance is meant to increase the logistical attractiveness of both locations, increasing job opportunities and revenues.

The Pharr International Bridge has more than 940,000 annual commercial truck crossings, and is the seventh busiest commercial truck crossing port in the United States. The bridge is ranked second in the United States and first in Texas for agriculture product crossings.
