New Orleans investor buys Dallas’ 1M-SF One Main Place
DALLAS – The 32-story One Main Place at 1202 Main St. has been sold. The skyscraper, which is less than 50 percent leased, was purchased by New Orleans-based KFK Group.
Built in 1968, One Main Place has more than 1 million sf of office space. The new owners are expected to renovate the aging tower.
“We are very excited to be a part of the continued redevelopment of the historically office-based downtown Dallas area. Downtown now encompasses an amazing mix of arts, parks and residential buildings, transforming it into a live, work, play environment”, said Elie Khoury, CEO of KFK Group.
One Main Place is the latest in a string of sales of major downtown office buildings that encountered debt problems during the recession and were faced with foreclosure.
