LUBBOCK – The January 2014 Lubbock Economic Index was recorded at 139.1, down from 139.3 in December 2013, but up 4.9 percent from 132.6 in January 2013, according to the Lubbock National Bank.
Employment in January 2014 was up by a stout 4 percent compared to January 2013, the fourth highest rate of year-over-year growth for January among all Texas metro areas.
