$20M superschool Jubilee in Brownsville

BROWNSVILLE – The $20 million, 74,046-sf Athlos Leadership Academy Brownsville is underway on a 9.7-acre site on Pablo Kisel Blvd.

The new school, a Jubilee Academic Center campus, will accommodate 909 kindergarten through ninth grade students beginning fall 2014 on Brownsville’s North Side.

The campus will feature:

•  a library;
•  a computer lab;
•  music and art rooms;
•  a performance stage;
•  a weight training room;
•  a basketball court and baseball diamond; and
•  a football and soccer field.

Jubilee will have two feeder sites: Jubilee Leadership Academy Brownsville, which will serve kindergarten through fifth grade, and Livingway Leadership Academy, which will serve pre-kindergarten through fifth grade.

The partnership between Jubilee and Athlos Academies will provide Brownsville families the opportunity to enroll in a tuition free school designed to embrace and represent the “healthy body, prepared mind” philosophy.

Two additional Athlos Academies — Athlos Leadership Academy San Antonio and Athlos Leadership Academy Austin — will be added to the Jubilee Academic Center district in fall 2014.
