FORT WORTH - Work on the “Big Hoss” video board at Texas Motor Speedway has been completed, making it home to the largest high definition video display in the world. The display will be unveiled to the public at 6 P.M. Wednesday, March 19, at Texas Motor Speedway.

The video board, which will be located in the center of the backstretch, will feature 20,633 sf of HD display — nearly a half-acre — with dimensions of 218 feet wide and 94 feet tall. The structure will stand nearly 125 feet above ground level and weigh more than 108 tons.

The display is 12 stories tall and is 79 percent larger than the video board at nearby AT&T Stadium. The display, which is the largest in the world, pushes Texas' share to eight of the top 50 high definition video screens in the world.

The video board, nicknamed “Big Hoss TV” by speedway officials, will debut April 3-6, 2014, at the Texas 500 NASCAR doubleheader weekend.
