FORT WORTH - Construction kicks off July 8, 2015, in North Fort Worth on an almost $1 billion data center for social media giant Facebook.
The 110-acre data center project in the AllianceTexas development near Alliance Airport and I-35W.
The 750,000-sf data center will be one of the largest in North Texas. The project planned for North Fort Worth will start out with a 250,000-sf building and be tripled in size over time.
Facebook — which has currently has more than 1.4 billion online users — currently has datacenters in Oregon, North Carolina and Iowa.
