RICHARDSON - A three-building, 489,000-sf office complex has been announced as part of the CityLine development near President George Bush Turnpike and US 75.

Raytheon will bring 1,700 employees to the new corporate campus from its current location in Garland, where it has operated since the 1950s. The company plans to occupy the new Richardson offices by the end of 2015.

"Our new offices will also help us support the missions of our customers and will better reflect our role as a global technology and innovation leader in such areas as information processing, big data, cyber sercurity and weather data exploitation," said Lynn Dugle, president of Raytheon Intelligence Information and Services.

After moving its $6 billion space and airborne systems business unit to McKinney in 2013, the firm now employs about 8,000 people in North Texas.
