CHINA SPRING, McLENNAN COUNTY - China Spring Independent School District (CSISD) has broken ground on construction projects meant to alleviate crowding at the high school. About $12.4 million of a $15.3 million bond will go to projects at the high school.

In addition to a new wing of high school classrooms, the district is building a new dining hall, expanded athletics facilities and a larger band hall, as well as four elementary classrooms and a new elementary gym.

The expected completion date for most of the projects is August, with some extending as late as January 2015.
