Just for kicks: $31M MoneyGram Soccer Park opens in Dallas

DALLAS – A 120-acre, 19-field soccer complex has opened at 2100 Walnut Hill Ln. The $31 million facility, dubbed MoneyGram Soccer Park, is expected to host 1 million visitors annually.

The complex features 14 full-size fields and five junior fields. Parks officials took pains to give the fields top-notch turf and drainage, ensuring that tournaments should go off without any hitches.

FC Dallas, the Major League Soccer team based in Frisco, will manage the park. The fields will receive their first major action in mid-April, when it helps hosts the Dr Pepper Dallas Cup.
