LUBBOCK - The east side of Lubbock is getting attention from businesses this week. Inland Truck Parts & Service has broken ground on a new 31,000-sf facility at 109 E. Slaton Rd. The cost of construction is $4.4 million, according to state filings.

On the east side of Lubbock, Love’s Travel Stop and Country Store purchased land near the I-27 and Regis St. intersection. Plans are for a 10,000-sf location if the city approves a zone change request.

Much of the Lubbock’s recent development has taken place in the southwestern parts of the city, including a Conn’s electronics store, which will be located in the Canyon West shopping center. The cost of construction is $2.1 million, according to state filings.
