PROSPER - A $5.1 million infrastructure project to bring water and sewer services to as many as 20,000 soon-to-be residents of Windsong Ranch has been completed.

The public-private infrastructure project was completed with the help of the Town of Prosper, Prosper Economic Development Corp. and the major area landowners, including Terra Verde Group and Greater Texas Land Resources.

Plans for Windsong Ranch include 3,500 single-family residential lots and 250 acres of mixed-use development along US 380, as well as 550 acres of nature trails and parks and a 50-acre community park.

Developer Terra Verde Group plans to market the homes from the mid-$200,000s to $500,000.

Huntington Homes, David Weekley Homes and Chesmar Homes are the builders for the project’s model homes, which are expected to open fall 2014. Highland Homes, Drees Custom Homes and Darling Homes are opening in June.
