MARSHALL - A $15 million, 105,000-sf facility for Rio Ammunition has broken ground on 11 acres in the Marshall Industrial Park. The facility will produce shotgun shells and serve as the company’s U.S. headquarters.
About 100 people will be employed during construction, and 60 people will employed when the facility comes online.
Marshall officials approved an incentive package of $945,000 to entice the company. “We want this facility to be up and running by November of this year,” said Jerry Benson of the Marshall Economic Development Corp.
Rio Ammunition is a division of Maxam Outdoors.
