American Eagle lands in Irving office
IRVING – American Eagle Airlines will establish its own headquarters at 6021 Connection Dr. The regional air carrier of American Airlines has leased a two-building, 142,000-sf campus that will consolidate seven offices and about 600 corporate employees throughout North Texas.
The company will spend less than $1 million to get the space ready with cabin training areas for flight attendants and a training center for mechanics, according to CEO Pedro Fabregas.
On top of the 600 corporate employees, the airline plans to bring 100 employees into North Texas to train each week on a rotating basis.
The City of Irving and the Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce plan to offer American Eagle an economic incentive deal based on the $2.4 million of taxable property it expects to bring into Irving during the four-year lease. Irving’s City Council is expected to decide on the incentive agreement on April 17.
